After breakfast climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress ( Optional )

The 8th wonder of the world is a rare jewel among the many treasures in Sri Lanka. The famous Sigiriya frescoes of the buxom, wasp-waisted maidens bearing flowers, amidst the wilderness and ancient ruins.

In the evening leave for Habarana & do an Elephant Back Ride( Optional ).

Transfer to the hotel.

Day 03

Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy .En route visit a spice garden.

One must visit a Spice Garden in Sri Lanka to get an insight into the long cherished spice history of the island. Spice gardens in the hill capital ,Matale, Mawanella etc. give fascinating experiences to spice lovers from all over the world. In fact most of the tourists visiting these gardens take back with them a memorable experience after seeing and feeling Sri Lankan spices.

After breakfast do an city tour in Kandy.

Optional Visit to Kandy temple.
Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple

Optional Visit to Royal Botanical Garden.
Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is about 5.5 km to the west from the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually.] It is near the Mahaweli River (the longest in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection oforchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka.

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea factory.

Tea of Sri Lanka, better known as Ceylon Tea has been world renowned for centuries for its quality and distinctive taste. The island’s tea production varies in taste, quality, character and appearance based on its cultivated region.

Nuwara Eliya, dubbed the ‘Little England of Sri Lanka’ is located in the thick, misty hills of this paradise isle. The colonial atmosphere remains preserved, resembles a British countryside complete with rose gardens, hedges and red-roofed bungalows.

After breakfast stay leisure by the beach.

Bentota is a tourist attraction, with a local airport (Bentota River Airport) and a handful of world-class hotels. It is a destination forwatersports. B entota also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. Bentota is famous for its toddy production, an alcoholic beverage made out of coconut nectar. It also has a turtle hatchery, located on Induruwa beach.

After breakfast leave for Colombo & in the evening do a city tour.

Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, is a bustling city and a hopping-off point for beaches in the island nation’s south. It has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its spicy cuisine as well as its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls.
